The Britzer Garden is one of the most promising recreational areas in Berlin. There are many opportunitiesn on the grounds of the German Federal Garden Show 1985 to spend your free time in the countryside.
Last year, the landscape park in the south of West Berlin was supplemented by a labyrinth of squared timber steles. But the idea behind it is by no means new. The original was developed for the German Federal Garden Show in 1985 and had to be dismantled because the stability was no longer guaranteed due to rotting damage.
The labyrinth has returned with a modern look on an area of approx. 35 square meters. A total of 58 steles made of Douglas fir wood were positioned individually, in groups of two or four. The special arrangement of the squared timber creates labyrinthine spaces that offer the opportunity to play catch and hide and seek.
The unique equipment element can also be climbed. The players can climb the 3.00 to 3.80 m high squared timber and perceive the surrounding park with its variety of plants from a completely new perspective.
