Heilbronn, Family Centre Olgakrippe

With colourful, cheerful colours, shapes and images, the playground in the family centre of the Olgakrippe in Heilbronn encourages children to explore. Whether high up or on the ground – sensory experiences such as touching, seeing and hearing are positively encouraged here.

The “Kerpen” playground set-up, consisting of two towers, can be explored in different ways: via the slanting ramp, the ladder, the climbing trunk or the freestyle climbing wall. A slide leads down again. The towers are connected to each other via a rope bridge.

A colourful climbing palisade can be used for sitting and relaxing, but also for climbing and balancing.

The large viewing platform towers immediately behind the climbing palisade. Consisting of two platforms connected by a low bar, it provides opportunities for play on different levels. The 4.5 m, completely enclosed hexagonal platform can be climbed upon and invites you to linger with benches and reclining nets. The smaller platform has a pipe telephone that can be used to communicate with one another even over a distance. Window panes in different colours reflect colourful patterns on the floor when exposed to sunlight and lead to new enthusiasm time and time again.

A small play kitchen enables experiments with sand and water. Water for this can be collected from the tapping point. There is also a mud table and two water channels.

A play box with a colourful window can be used as a place for little ones to retreat to or gather together. They can also soar high next to each other on the double swing.

Left, down, in a circle – the sliding play wall stimulates children’s motor skills as they push the buttons in different directions. The single spinning discs also spark delight. When pressed, they conjure up moving images so that the snake and lizards come to life.

If you look carefully, you’ll find animal-shaped topper elements all over the playground. Snakes, monkeys and parrots can be spotted hiding on the roofs and posts.
