Bad Homburg, Im Atzelnest

ATTRACTIVE MEETING PLACE FOR YOUNG AND OLD

Amidst the hustle and bustle and educational centres in the Ober-Eschbach district, the "Im Atzelnest" playground looked a little worn by time. Some of the equipment had already been replaced over the years, but since the end of 2022 it has been possible to climb and romp to your heart's content again. In collaboration with the landscape architecture office of Bernd Waldvogel from Schwalbach, this place has once again been transformed into an attractive focal point for young and old.

The centrepiece of the playground is the impressive climbing combination made of robinia wood. Irregularly arranged quadrangular and pentagonal platforms with hanging bridges, walkways, climbing nets, a climbing wall and much more provide continuous exciting fun. It was particularly important to revive some of the nostalgia of the old playground with the existing tunnel slide.

For those who like to slide, there are also slide poles and pole gliders for quick descents in addition to the slide. And for families, a cosy seating area under the shady trees provides an ideal place to relax, meet and linger, even on hot summer days. Nothing is left to be desired here, because this playground is now a place where memories can be made and adventures experienced.
